Ruthia Fuller came from a poor Haitian family who couldn't afford new clothes for school. She overcame poverty, survived cancer, and rose up the ranks in corporate fashion retail. She attacks every obstacle not with a hammer, but with an electric drill. She repeatedly refuses to accept the difficulties she's faced with and sees them as opportunities. Her tenacious and solution oriented mindset never folds under pressure, resulting in her ability to consistently exceed expectations.
Ruthia is recognized for her flawlessly meticulous attention to detail, with a passion for releasing the beast within through the art of storytelling and artfully weaving a brand’s story into compelling experiences. She has creative directed and styled sets, wardrobe, jewelry, home goods, props, food and products for major TV networks, celebrities, commercials, ad campaigns, and editorials. Her clients include CNN, FOX, Puma, Nike, City Mattress, and nearly two dozen fashion magazines including Harper's Bazaar and Glamour.
Because of her experience of 10 years in corporate fashion retail at Chico's FAS Inc. (at all 3 brands: Chico's, White House Black Market, & Soma Intimates), Ruthia has an extensive knowledge of garment construction, fit, quality, product development, sourcing, color analysis, trend, and design which has added to her versatility and allowed her to bring her expertise to every set.
As a Visual Artist, Ruthia continues to elevate brands through website design, social media, branding, graphic design, and digital marketing. From corporate fashion, to commercials, to website design, to inspirational speeches and spoken word poetry on major stages - she does it all.
An unboxable chameleon.
